Sam nearly snapped at her for bringing Zoe up, but it wouldn’t have done any good. Plus, it wasn’t Jo’s fault. Instead, he gave her a tight-lipped smile and glanced around the room. “Research it is, I think.”

Dean was still showering, trying to come up with something helpful. If they only had Bobby around to help. He always found thinks even Sam wasn’t able to thin of.

Jo simply nodded at his words, ignoring how tense he got at the mention of Zoe, but he shrugged it off. Good, she thought. She knew it was a risk bringing her up like that, but it had left her mouth before she could think, and she wasn’t interested on walking on eggshells.

“Super,” Sam mumbled under his breath. He was glad it sounded sarcastic because he didn’t feel like answering too many questions. But at the moment all he really wanted to do was more research, that way he wouldn’t have to think about Zoe.

Dean was actually able to clear his head a little and tried to bring himself into a good mood, since he was sure that his brother needed that.

“Yea, well, just think about how great it’s gonna be to see Zoe after a week,” she tried. It was probably easier said than done, but the most she could offer at this point was simply words of comfort. “Or you could just bury yourself in research. Whichever you prefer,” she shrugged.
